Very few people think about a storage unit for their vehicle storage needs.  We think they are missing the proverbial boat.

Hear us out on why we think mini storage is a great solution for car storage.  We are Blue Mound 287 Self Storage in Fort Worth.  We’ve been doing this for a few decades now, so it might behoove you to at least listen to what we have to say, and follow up on that listening by calling us at (817) 439-1380.

What does vehicle storage normally cost?

That’s a tough one to answer.  There are parking garages in most major cities where you can store your vehicle.  The ones we’ve seen charge between $15-$20 per day. Do the math for the month and you’re looking at $600 to store your car in an insecure, open air parking garage.  We think you can do better.

Of course, you can always store your car in your friend Jake’s garage.  Good luck with that.

Airport long-term car storage is a possibility.  Again, it is expensive.  Again, it is not secure.  Again, not a terribly good option.

There are also high-end parking garages for vehicles, usually used as collector car storage. These places usually run around $250 per month, and they are secure and offer quality storage with an array of premium services.

Or you can take our suggestion and try a mini storage building.  A 10’x5’ storage unit at Blue Mound 287 will cost you $65 per month.  A similar-sized unit with climate control will cost you $72 per month.  For that cost you get secure self storage, climate control to protect against extreme weather, and 24/7 access.

The only question we have is this: why don’t more people use a storage unit for vehicle storage?  It beats the heck out of Jake’s garage, and it won’t cost you an arm and a leg.  $72 for peace of mind, for a month? That, quite honestly, seems like a great deal.
