FAQ’S SELF STORAGE

Do you have any move in specials?

 

We always offer unbeatable move in specials to give you the best affordable self storage in DFW.  Our current special is.pay three months in advance, and get a fourth month free!   Check with us often for updates!

What are the access hours?

 

All of our tenants are granted 24/7 access to their storage rental space.  We believe you should be able to access your storage unit at your convenience, not at the convenience of the self storage facility.  When you sign your rental agreement, you will be assigned your own personalized gate code that allows you access to the facility regardless of whether you arrive during or after office hours.

Do I have to sign a long term lease?

 

No long term agreement is expected or required but we do have long term storage available.  Your rental agreement with Blue Mound 287 Self Storage is a standard self storage month to month lease.

 

What are the advantages of climate controlled storage units?

 

We offer climate controlled storage spaces for our customers who need to store items that are sensitive to temperature changes, such as oil paintings, family heirlooms, electronics, candles or other temperature sensitive items for your small business.

Can I pay with a credit card?

 

Credit card payments are accepted; in addition we go the extra mile and offer you automatic credit/debit card services for your convenience.  We also accept cash, check, and money order payments.

What size storage units for rent are available?

 

We offer a variety of sizes to suit anyone’s storage needs, from a 5×5 unit all the way up to a 20×30, with plenty of options in between.

My small business needs off site storage, and sometimes we get small parcel shipments.  Can they be routed to my storage space?

 

We will absolutely work with you and accept packages for your small business, including hours we can accept and/or route the packages to your self storage unit, and entry procedures for your employees.

Can others have access to my storage rental space if I allow it?

 

You may designate any person or persons who are allowed access right to your storage unit rental when you fill out your rental agreement.  Only those people listed on your agreement will be allowed access.

I have an RV and I would like to periodically charge the battery during inactive periods.  Do your RV storage spaces come equipped with electricity?

 

Our covered awning spaces for RV or boat storage come equipped with electricity for your charging needs.  Electrical outlets are available in both the 12×30 and 12×40 covered spaces.

Do you offer outside storage?

 

We do offer uncovered outdoor storage units as well for those who need to park their utility trailer, camper, or truck and trailer rigs.  And remember, you will always have the convenience of 24/7 access at our facility.

What sort of security measures do you offer?

 

Our facility is completely fenced and lighted.  Video cameras are in place throughout the facility and at all entry gates.  Our software provides automatic gate code tracking so that we know when someone enters your code for access, and who is currently on-site.  Your storage unit door is equipped with an individual door alarm; this alarm is activated if someone tries to open your unit door without your code being entered at the gate for access.

Does your insurance cover the contents of my space?

 

It is the tenant’s responsibility to procure insurance if they wish to insure the contents of their storage unit.

Why do I need a code to leave your facility when I’ve already used it for entry?

 

The gate closes automatically after you enter your code and gain access to the facility, so it is necessary to enter your code again to exit.
